Can you help?
Hey guys!
My sister sent this heartbreaking blog. It's a beautiful family that in dire need of help.
Keep in mind, I never met them and tonight was the first time I read their blog. But they touched my heart. Check it out here.
I know with the holidays just ending and the new year starting, things can be pretty tight, but see if you can help at all possible. At least help spread the word!!!
Thanks!

Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
I have so much to be thankful for this Christmas. I have an amazing husband, 2 miracle baby boys who are awesome! A great family, great friends. I am so thankful we are able to buy each family member a gift... I am thankful for our jobs, our house, our cars, and sooo much more!
I am so glad that I can spend this Christmas with my family.
Since hubby can't really go anywhere because he is recovering, we are just going to spend Christmas Eve at home. I will cook a special dinner just for the 4 of us. :)
On Christmas morning, we will open presents and I will make a yummy breakfast. Then my in-laws will come and have lunch with us (they are bringing food). After they leave, my parents and sister and her family will come in the early evening and we will have a desert buffet. I am really excited about that! lol

But I am mommy and I got my superwoman outfit on. lol I am actually surprised at hoe helpful lil man has been. I am very impressed and proud of him. We are just hanging out at home and chilling out. It will actually be a chance for us to spend lots of family time together.

Christmas Treats
Little Man is having a Christmas party at school. So I decided to make treat bags for his friends. he asked me if he could give the boys and girls a present. Being that my budget is super tight, I kept it simple. But I think they will enjoy it. I got the baggies in the dollar bin at Target a month ago. Then I had candy and candy canes and I got some cute ornaments at the dollar store. :) My mom who you may know as 2Kute made these SUPER CUTE tags! I love how the baggies turned out. :)

Fresh....
The other day I decided to try something new and bought fresh green beans. I LOVE green bean so I figured it would be delicious. First of all it was way too much work for me. Wash, Snap, arg! No way. I like to get a bag out of the freezer, throw it in water and cook. lol I also did not like the taste at all. It tasted weird. Needless to say that my attempt at eating fresh veggies failed.
I do love fresh squash betterthan frozen. However, hubby cannot eat squash. :/ So I don't make it.
I do cook a lot with fresh bell peppers, onions, and scallions. I always have to have those in my fridge. :) My hubby and I LOVE purple onions. It makes a meal taste sooo much better.

Monday Madness! Turtles and Tea
I was on a search for a black gingham longall for baby boy. Not a lot of people like to dress their babies in black - but I do. Don't forget, I am the one that made my baby's nursery black and green. lol Anyway, Turtles and Tea Boutique makes the CUTEST stuff. I fell in love with her items and she made me the perfect longalls for baby boy. I was tempted to get her corduroy longalls, BUT I am in Fl, there is no need for that here. :( Check out all her super cute stuff here.

Germ Free
I think when peope see me at the grocery store or Wal Mart or anywhere with a cart, they think I am crazy. I will not touch a cart without wiping it down first. lol I carry a baggie of hand wipes, hand sanitizer and a small can of lysol spray in my purse. YEP! I am nuts. hahaha. I wipe down the cart before I even touch it. At my grocery store they have a dispenser with the wipes right next to the pile of carts. I LOVE IT! Wal Mart has just started doing it too. Now Target has to get with the program.
I just hate germs. I try not to let myself get too carried away thinking about all the germs. But I get easily grossed out and hate touching things that I know other people have touched. I didn't use to be this way. I was always conscious about germs, but I got worse with my first pregnancy and then I got even worse after this pregnancy.
I won't even go to a movie theather anymore. I HATE sitting in those germ infested chairs. EEEWWW! Which is fine, I'd much rather watch a movie in the comforts of my own home. :)
I also have hand sanitizer in my car. Everytime I have to pump gas, the first thing I do is clean my hands when I come in the car.
You don't even want to know my process when I have to use a public bathroom! ha!

Our Village
This is my hubby's favorite part of our decorations! He loves the village. I didn't put it up last year and he got really sad. He said from now on, every year we are buying a new building for it. This year we spent money on other stuff so we didn't buy any. BUT he did go to Lowe's and got that cute little Christmas tree for his village and if you look all the way to the right by the carousel, you see a reindeer and snowman. He got that too. He went there for replacement lights for the village because God forbid his village is not lit up. haha. I thought that was too cute!

Our Tree
And here is our tree! I LOVE our tree for some many reasons. Being that we all suffer from severe allergies and sinus issues, we cannot have a real tree. Here's the story on this tree. Hubby and I got married in March - so that year, for our first Christmas we wanted to get our family tree. We were living in a 1 bedroom apartment that was 800 sq ft. We new that we didn't have much room. BUT when we went to go buy a "little" tree we decided to go ahead and spend money on the perfect tree that we would have in our house. So we went for the 7ft Christmas tree. :) It was packed in this huge box. And what were we driving? A Mustang. ha! So we had to squeeze this huge tree in our sports car.
Then we had to squeeze the tree in our little apartment. It looked great! I just love our tree. I have a special ornament for each year. And every Christmas I love remembering where that ornament came from and why we have it. For example, there is one for our first year together for our first Christmas as a married couple, baby's 1st Christmas, our first home, and so forth... They are all special. :) I started this tradition since our first Christmas and now I buy the family and each boy an ornament every year.
What about you? What traditions do you have?

Christmas time is almost here!
This year I decided I wanted to do something special for my boys. I got them each their own Christmas tree. :) It's a tradition I wanted to start so I went for it. My oldest son's room is blue, so his tree has blue ornaments, and the baby's room is green, so his tree has green ornaments. What do you think?

NUTS!
I was sitting in the Target parking lot getting my purse and organizing myself before I left to shop and when I looked up, this is what I saw. I was so glad I had my camera on me. Isn't this a super cute squirrel moment? lol He just sat there for about a minute proudly showing off his nut. Then he took off. Bon Appetit!

Monday Madness! No Limits 2 Me
There are so many great store in Etsy. But what makes the greatest stores stand out, to me, is quality of the product and customer service. I used to work in sales, so I am very picky about who I deal with when dealing with sales. Missy of No Limits 2 Me is AMAZING. I was desperate and needed a custom made plate right away - she had it made and mailed to me by when I needed it. She was a delight to work with and so amazing. And the plate is ADORABLE. So, here's the deal though, I never got a picture of the plate. 0_0 AND it was a birthday present for my mother in law. They dont have a camera and I haven't been over there. So alas, I will have to post it later. I will get a picture of it when I go there for Thanksgiving. ;) But she also makes some other amazing items. Her tutus are super cute. Check out No Limits 2 Me here.

Shutterfly Christmas Cards!
One of my favorite things about Christmas time is getting photo Christmas cards from friends and family. I love to display them. I also love sending out my own cards, and this year, I get to send out a card w/ a picture of my brand new family of 4! I have plans to get together with my sister so she can take my family pictures. Hopefully the boys will cooperate! I love coordinating our wardrobes so we can all match. This year the boys will be wearing red, so I would love to find a pretty red dress! Then I will be able to get on Shutterfly and choose one of their many beautiful Christmas cards!
Have you been on shutterfly? There are SO many cards to choose from!
Check out Shutterfly for your Christmas card needs!
Here are some of my favorites!
NOTE: I will be receiving 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly for letting you know about their cards. I was not compensated in any other way for this post. And I really do think Shutterfly's quality is really good and the prices are fair. If you're a blogger and want 50 free cards all you have to do is apply.
