Big Brother

As many of you may know I am pregnant with my second son. We are very excited to be planning his arrival. My eldest son is 3 years old and so excited to meet "baby in mommy's tummy". It's so sweet to see him talk about his brother. And he loves to kiss the baby in my tummy. It's the cutest thing. It makes me so happy to see how he is with the baby.
We had a doctor's appointment this week and when the doctor walked in, my son lifted up my shirt and kept showing the doctor his baby. It was adorable. And my doctor is so good with kids - he kept asking my little boy questions about his brother and teaching him about the heartbeat. It was sweet! I can't wait to see how he is going to be when the baby comes. I think he will be very helpful! :)

The Cleaning Lady

I know I am not the only one that agrees that living in a clean house is way better than living in a messy and dirty house. Right?
Being that I am pregnant, my energy level is way low, but I am trying to keep up with my chores. Most of the times I am only able to keep the front of the house clean - the living room, family room, dining room and kitchen. I've been doing really well at keeping up with the dishes and such. BUT my bedroom has been a complete mess. So yesterday I took the day to do something about it. And I felt so good after I was done! I cleaned, dusted, put stuff away. AND I even caught up with laundry, well, you're never really caught up with laundry, but I am doing pretty good.
It felt so good to go to sleep in a clean room. I was so proud of myself. And I say this everytime, but I am really going to try to keep up with it and keep it clean. I hate messes!
My least favorite chore is doing dishes (eventhough the dishwasher does all the work) and doing laundry. I hate putting laundry away. But I am so thankful that I have my own laundry room and my own machines that I can do laundry in! How about you, what is your least favorite chore???

Help Lilly

I found this new friend through Etsy and ended up in her blog last week. And I found out she is raising money to help a friend's little 3 year old daughter Lilly. Isn't she the cutest little girl? Well, Lilly needs our help! I was touched by her story. Lilly is sick with Arnold-Chiari malformation. This malformation is a structural defect in the part of the brain that controls balance, the cerebellum. It causes a portion of the brain to protrude out of the skull and down into the spinal canal. When this happens, the brain tissue blocks the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to and from the brain. CSF is important because it surrounds and cushions the brain and provides nourishment to the brain. Please read more of Lilly's story here. You can participate in a raffle they are having to raise money to help her medical expenses. OR you can DONATE money towards it too. I know times are hard, but if everyone donated $1, or $5 or even $10, it would make a difference. Here is the link to the blog with all the information. Please take the time to check it out and I totally appreciate it! :)

If you or anyone you know has a baby, you know how much fun it is to accezzorize that child. Sometimes it's easier to do with a girl than a boy, BUT I found this great store on etsy that has the cutest boy items. BabyChunkMonk makes bibs, burcloths and onesies. I just fell in love with the store! And the best part is that their prices are not bad at all! I ordered 2 of her Dressed For Dinner Bibs, when I saw them, I knew I just had to have them! What a great way to dress up a little baby boy! When I got her package in the mail, I was super excited. Everything was wrapped up so nicely and when I saw the bibs, I was extremely impressed. The quality of her work is amazing! You cannot find a better deal. I am serious. These bibs are amazing and only $5. Check out her store here and look at all her other great items! Motherly Advice

As many of you know, I have a 3 year old son. He is the joy of my life! I just love being a mom and he is the biggest blessing in my life.
He is usually an easygoing little boy. He is always happy and smiling. And he is a sweetheart!
Well, the last few days we have been having issues getting him to bed. The first time we noticed a problem, it was about 5 in the morning and he came running in our room, jumps in our bed and says there is something in his closet. Well, it was time for hubby to get ready for work, so I just left him in my bed and we cuddled and fell back asleep.
Now every night we put him to bed, he freaks out. His demeanor totally changes. He gets really stressed and nervous. He climbs in bed and keeps talking about something being in his closet. You can look at him and see the stress in his face. It is so sad. :( We have tried everything! He has a nightlight in his room, we pray before going to bed, he sleeps with a bunch of stuffed animals and blankets. I even tried to give him Spiderman for "protection". Oh and he always sleeps with his boombox on playing lullibies.
We check the closet everynight and show him there is nothing there. Last night the only way he fell asleep was when I sat in his bed with him. I left after he was fast asleep. BUT at 2 in the morning, he shows up in my bed again terrified and complaining about there being something in his closet.
What else can we do? I don't want him to be afraid of his room or of falling asleep...
