Movie Favorites

Remember the day and age when all the Disney movies consisted of Princesses and Prince Charming? Well, times sure have changed. There are so MANY great Disney/Pixar movies out there. I LOVE Finding Nemo - it's a great and entertaining movie. There are others we like too. However, there are now 2 favorites in our house.

Little Man LOVES Cars - it's an awesome movie. I believe we watched it so many times that we have now worn out the DVD. lol Little Man pretty much has the whole movie memorized.

And recently we purchased Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Little Man fell in love! We haven't watched the 2nd one yet. I am actually saving it for when we go to the hospital and he needs something to keep him busy. lol Toy Story is a definite classic and I am so happy that he is enjoying it so much!

What are some of the favorites in your house?

Family Pictures

We had some family pictures done last week. I haven't seen all of them yet, but these are a few of the ones our photographer sent me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. She is super talented and captured our family really well. We wanted to have pictures done as a way to remember this special time in our lives. Our photographer actually happened to be a good friend - she grew up with my hubby. Anyway, here are a few samples. What do you think?

NESTING Overtime

I have been on a cleaning frenzy! The closer I get to the date of birth, the more stressed out I get. I am trying very hard to stop stressing. I need this baby to stay put til towards the end of June. lol These last 2 weeks I have cleaned a LOT! I washed 14 panels of drapes and ironed them. Yep, 14. 0_0 I have drapes everywhere and they were pretty dirty. I cleaned all my windows and blinds. I cleaned every single framed picture in my house (those were nasty). I cleaned every door. I had hubby clean all the ceiling fans and light fixtures - he wouldn't let me do it. By then I thought I was done w the extra "spring cleaning" stuff. All I had left was the normal house chores, dusting, sweeping, mopping, which I do on a weekly basis. BUT last night at around 8 or so I decided to take my whole fridge apart and wash each shelf and drawer one by one. I threw away a BUNCH of stuff, some of which were expired. Now my fridge is all nice and clean and organized. :) I felt such a sense of accomplishment! The only "extra" thing that's left to do is move some furniture to sweep and mop under them. BUT I need to wait on the hubby for that. We are pretty ready. I still have some laundry to do for the baby but a lot of it has been done. We are getting anxious and excited to be bringing our little baby home. I think I just am ready to be home w all my boys. :)

Phineas and Ferb

My 3 year old son came to me and said "Mom, I know what we are going to do today! HEY! Where is Perry?"
Yep, he loves the Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb. And I admit it, I do too. It is very entertaining. They are a little odd looking but I do love their imagination!
They have some cute songs on there and my son is always singing one of them - it's really cute.
Phineas and Ferb are step brothers (Ferb is from England) and they have an older sister named Candace (she is Phineas' real sister). Anyway, they are on summer vacation and each day they build some sort of contraption and drive their sister insane trying to "bust them". They also have a pet platypus named Perry who disappears everyday. What they don't know is that Perry is a secret agent! lol
We enjoy the different adventures they go through.
The other day we went to Toys R Us and my hubby just had to buy our son figurines of 4 of the characters from the show. Now that is all he plays with. He is enjoying them.
If you haven't watched it, give it a try and let me know what you think!

CAKES!

My sister, BFF Pam, and mother in law got together and threw me a baby shower. They kept up a theme really well. The colors for the nursery are green and black so that's what theme they used. A sweet friend of mine made the yummiest and cutest cake! I was so excited. My sister and friend made a a super cute diaper cake. I love it! I was so thankful for such a great time!
We are currently working on finishing up the nursery and getting everything set up for his arrival!

Happy Birthday Hunny

Yesterday was hunny's birthday. Being that I am no longer employed and we have a baby on the way, this year's birthday was kept extremely simple. The night before he had a meeting so I made cupcakes and hid them. The morning of his birthday I set up the table with the cupcakes and his present. My son was so excited he ran down the hall screaming "It's daddy's birthday party!" It was cute. So we sang him happy birthday and then went to Cracker Barrel for a yummy breakfast. After we ate, some of the staff came and sang him happy birthday and brought us the most delicious chocolate coke cake. I've never had it - but it was soooooo good. He couldn't eat it all so he shared with me. lol All in all, we had a good day. This weekend we will celebrate his birthday, mother's day and his brother's birthday all together.
