Christmas Idea Contest
Ok guys! We want to hear all about your Christmas traditions and ideas!
For example, when we were little we would drive around on Christmas Eve and look at Christmas lights.
For Christmas I bake Christmas cookies with my son so we can leave it for Santa.
Email us your ideas. We will pick out the most originals and then post them on here for a poll. The winner will win 1 week of free etsy mini advertising and a picture of your favorite item on the side of the blog!

Rudolph Ornaments
Wanna come up with creative and cute ideas to involve your kids in decorating your tree? I found this very cute reindeer ornament! Try it out. It's a great way to spend time with your kids and you can make some great memories.
Try it out! Email us pictures of your finished product!
Also, we want you to send us your ideas on how to make this Holiday Season an extra special one!!!
What you'll need:
¼ sheet of light brown craft foam
2 glitter gold chenille sticks
2 medium wiggle eyes
1 red glitter pom pom
6-8 inches of ribbon
White craft glue or hot glue gun
Scissors
How to make it:
To make the head, cut 2 tear drop shapes from the craft foam.
To make the ears, cut a small oval, then cut it in half lengthwise.
Bend each chenille stick in half, then bend and twist them to form two antlers.
Glue the ears toward the top of the round end of one of the tear drop shapes. Tip: Hot glue works much faster.
Glue antlers to the top of the same oval shape.
For the hanger, fold ribbon in half and glue the open ends together in between the two antlers.
Glue the second oval shape to the back of the first oval to create the back of the reindeer’s head. This sandwiches the ears, antlers and hanger inside the two tear drop shapes and gives the ornament a more finished look.
Glue on wiggle eyes.
Glue on red pom pom for nose at the pointed end of the tear drop.
Allow to dry completely.
Tips:
Check the holiday section of the craft store for glitter chenille sticks and pom poms.
To make it easier for younger children, either draw the shapes onto the craft foam for them, or cut out the shapes yourself ahead of time.
Foam can be found in abundance at your local craft or discount department store in a variety of colors. You can even buy mini buckets full of various different shapes, colors and sizes.

Lilly Queen
Having trouble finding that perfect gift for a girlfriend? I've got the perfect store for you! Lilly Queen has the most amazing jewelry! Check her out!
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hey there, I’m Sara of Lilly Queen. I’m a 23 year old living in Connecticut. My passion for creating things started when I was very young. I used to make my own books and sell them by the street, lemonade stands all summer long, and making jewelry to sell to my classmates. Being an entrepreneur is in my blood!
2. How long have you been making your creations?
I’ve been making things my whole life. I’ve always been a little crafter ever since I was a child getting into my mothers craft room in the basement, god all the things I used to ruin of hers just to have some fun making something I thought was cool.
3. Where do you get your creative ideas?
Lots of ideas come from looking at other pieces, nature, and creating things that I know I would love myself.
4. What is your favorite item that you have created?
My favorite item was my candles. I got tons of great reviews and comments on these. I was also asked by Whole Foods Market to send up a shipment of close to 100 candles for them to sell. Talk about awesome!! Candle making became too stressful - I had custom orders and people always asking for something. I wish I realized then I was on to something and quit my job to dedicate more time to it.
5. Tell us about the item displayed here.
The three images of jewelry shown are some of my favorite pieces. I use supplies bought from stores, tag sales, swapping with other beaders and from pulling apart old stuff. I try making my pieces unique so that no one else will have it.

2 Kute
2 Kute is a great store with amazing homemade items.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Well, I am an inactive ent nurse, mother of three, and nana to two. I love crafting. My mind is always on the go working on new ideas. I also love custom orders. It's exciting to create something for someone, knowing that person is going to cherish your item. Each one of my kreations has a place in my heart. I encourage my customers to let me know when they get them and how they like it. It's important to me that my kreations have a good home.
2. How long have you been making your creations?
I started to craft in 2004. That was the year of trials and errors, teaching myself how to crochet and read patterns, wasting supplies with not so good outcomes. Then I just took off.
3. Where do you get your creative ideas?
I get my ideas from everywhere. A commercial on tv, nature, catalogs I get in the mail... I always keep my eyes peeled looking everywhere with my mind gone somewhere fantastic.
4. What is your favorite item that you have created?
Oh, that is a hard one. I love my ripple blankets. But at the moment I am very proud of my snow flake tags.

Well, I wanted to make some gift tags for xams, I love snow, but I live in FL. Using different mediums like stamping, embossing, buttons, scrapbook paper, I toyed around and came up with those tags.
