I've always been a proud shopper of etsy. Anytime I needed some kind of gift, I headed straight for etsy. My sister and mom both have shops on etsy and I have many friends with shops on etsy.
BUT I have noticed an increase in shops opening and selling on Facebook. I don't know about you, but I LIVE on facebook. It's a slight addiction that I am told I need to work on. lol I follow a lotof different shops and love seeing their latest updates with new items and such. That is not possible with etsy. So I definetly think Facebook is a better way to promote and even make sales, don't you think?
In Facebook you can post tons of pictures, have sales or giveaways. Play games to promote your shop... AND you don't have to pay any fees. You can also chit chat with lots of friends and stay updated on their latest items as well...
On etsy, you upload your item, pay a fee and that's about it. There are no for chat rooms, where we made several friends...
So my question for you, as a shop owner, do you prefer to sell on etsy or on facebook?
And as a shopper, do you prefer to shop on etsy or facebook?
I wann hear from you!

I love etsy.... but I also love facebook.
I have been shopping on facebook lately, quicker, more personal, I can chat with the seller about sizing, colors, any questions I might have.
I do like to sell on facebook better as I save on fees, I talk to my buyers and get to know them and I get pictures back of the recipient of what I make wearing my item. That is a very rewarding feeling.
Etsy. I have not tried to sell on Facebook yet but I might give it a whirl at some point.
I have both, but I prefer fb.
I sell mostly thru my Etsy shop, but take custom orders thru FB occasionally.
For those of you who sell on FB, do you use a particular app or just wait for people to ask to buy what you post?
I didn't know you COULD sell on FB. Of course if I stopped playing Candy Crush for a minute I may have known it ;)
Tommye, I have an app and a tab on my page that takes to a storefront.
It's an etsy app. It's free.
But honestly, when I get orders, it's the old way, they post, I answer a question, they buy, I invoice them paypal.
I think buyers like that 'human' interaction, talking to the seller and not only purchasing with a couple of clicks.
tollfree number to provide a way for their clients and potential clients to call them at no charge. As the telecommunications and telecommunications hardware market has become more sophisticated, this service has taken on an expanded and altered role.
